Pedestrian Killed, Another Critical After Being Struck At Morris County Intersection: Cops

One of two pedestrians struck at an intersection in Morris County on Monday, July 1 has died, police said.

The two pedestrians, a male and female who were not identified, were struck by a Ford F-250 at Ridgedale Avenue and Brooklake Road in Florham Park, local police and the county prosecutor's office said. The vehicle had been turning onto Ridgedale Avenue from Brooklake Road, police said.

Both pedestrians were hospitalized with serious injuries, and the female died at Morristown Medical Center after the crash, according to a spokesperson for the prosecutor's office. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and spoke with investigators.

The driver was not injured and was released from the scene, while the driver’s vehicle was impounded for further forensic analysis. The Morris County Sheriff's Office responded to assist.
